Harischandra is a CCODP veteran. In 1985
he joined as a trainer of handicraft painting and has been with the organisation
ever since. He came from a large family and despite being afflicted with polio, was
fortunate enough to reach O levels at school, a privilege missed out by many disabled people
in Sri Lanka. Harischandra understands
the impact the improvements at the CCODP have had on the people here and feels
he has made a positive contribution to these changes. He has not seen an
institution so dedicated to the cause of disabled people and is keen to stay and
watch the changes in the future, passing on his skills to the newer arrivals.
