General Objective

Expand the commercialization of agricultural, fishing and artisanal products of small producers within Ecuador, contributing to improve their competitiveness in the global marketplace by streamlining and optimizing current relationships and by developing new diversified ones.

Specific Objectives

Unroll a pilot program to introduce new commercial tools based in digital images and electronic, online catalogs allowing an affordable and profitable new enterprise for small producers.

Strengthen the commercial capacity of the producers through improving the manner of presentation of their products so that the demands of the global market may be satisfied by taking advantage of new and powerful technological tools and enhancements.

Key Elements of the Project

Development of a toolbox of technology assets to facilitate the creation of online, electronic catalogs.

  • Establish a network of agricultural, fishing and artisanal organizations.
  • Offer technical assistance to organizations in the areas of management, design and marketing
  • Give rise to a technical unit responsible for network and logistical assistance to all organizations in terms of E-Commerce.
  • Design promotional mechanisms and tools to process and relay the results of electronic marketing campaigns.
  • Implement a training and technical assistance plan for the improvement of processes.
  • Regular trademarking, patenting, and registering of products.

The Benefited Groups

They are 13 organizations of agricultural, fishing and artisanal producers, made up of peoples of different ethnic cultural backgrounds from the Andean, coastal and rainforest regions of Ecuador. These registered entities have various years of experience in production and commercialization.

Their work is at the heart of the economic development of their communities and cities through social undertakings that generate work, hope, education and a culture of caring.

The level of technology of production is appropriate to the particular community and preserves traditional practices and methods. The wares produced are renowned for their quality and constant innovation in both the national and international economy.
